Tooth-Colored Restorations

When a tooth has a cavity, the dentist removes the decay and places a composite restoration. The tooth is best restored with a filling, when MORE than 70% of tooth structure is left to support the new filling. In some cases when the restoration fills more than 30% it is then best to support the tooth with a crown. A crown covers your tooth and restores the tooth to its natural form, function AND STRENGTH. You can expect a filling to last 8 years. If in rare cases your filling falls out or begins to chip away, we will replace the restoration, or do what is necessary to restore your tooth, within a five -year period.

Crowns, Inlays, Onlays, Bridges and Veneers

These restorations are on average expected to last a minimum of 15 years, if cared for with proper brushing and flossing after each meal. However a porcelain restoration can break or fracture just like tooth enamel. If this does happen, we will do what is necessary to replace, recement, redo, or repair your restoration at new charge for a period of five years. We will help to protect your investment.

Root Canal Therapy

Modern technologies have enabled the dental professional to save teeth with Root Canal Therapy. This therapy is about 80-90% successful. Sometimes a root canal therapy may have to be retreated or need further surgical treatment. It is most important to have had the tooth properly restored with a crown after this treatment, to protect the tooth from breaking. The number one failure of Root Canal Therapy is not properly restoring the tooth with an Onlay or a Crown.

Dentures

Your new denture will take time to get adjusted to. There may be sore areas, and you’ll find it difficult to pronounce words. With the bone in our mouths constantly changing shape, you’ll notice within a few months that your new denture just doesn’t fit as snug as it use to. It is very important to have your denture relined, as this will help them to fit better. On average a denture needs to be relined every 3-5 years If this was an immediate denture, you will need it relined more frequently. It is also important to maintain good oral health with yearly visits to your dentist. This annual examination will include checking the fit of your denture. We will look for red areas where the denture fits too loose, or too tight. We will clean and remove tartar off of your denture, and the doctor will examine your mouth for tumors, or cancer which usually are painless. We warranty any adjustments that need to be made for a period of ONE YEAR.

This Warranty is null and void if:

The patient does not maintain his/her recommended continuing care appointment of every 3, 4, or 6 months. This visit is necessary to maintain proper oral health and consists of a periodic examination by the doctor (screening for cancer as well as periodontal and dental health), AND a prophylaxis, fluoride treatment, oral hygiene care recommendations, and screening by the Hygienist.

These regular healthy care visits help you to watch for potential problems before the get hopeless or need extensive surgical care.
