Walter Kostrzewski, DMD

In 1996, Dr. Walter Kostrzewski, founded Comfortable Care Dentistry in Milford, Connecticut. Dr. Kostrzewski, otherwise known as "Dr. K", is a general member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Walter Kostrzewski graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1992. Since then he had has completed many hundred hours of CE. In 1993 he completed a GPR at University Hospital at Stony Brook with an emphasis on treating the medically compromised patient. He completed the entire continuum at PAC~Live in 2000 + 2001. Dr. Kostrzewski is “Fellow” of the Academy of Comprehensive Esthetics, www.facethechallenge.com. Dr. K is a  Clinical Instructor at the prestigious Hornbrook Group in Chicago, www.hornbrookgroup.com  where he trains other dentist in cosmetic dentistry and full mouth rehabilitation.  He has a cosmetic and sedation oriented practice in Milford, CT. The Teacher

He has been honored to be able to speak at various national meetings. Dr. K has written numerous articles featured in journals such as Dental Town, The Crown Council and the Dental Leader. Along with consulting and teaching with major dental manufacturers, dental laboratories and his peers, “Dr. K” is currently part of the clinical faculty and teaches with the prestigious Hornbrook Group, a live patient hands-on course that teaching doctors all across the country how to build beautiful smiles on their own patients.

The Coach

Dr. K is on the advisory board of the continuing education organization “Generation Next”, and a founding member of F.A.C.E (Fellowship of Advanced Comprehensive Esthetics). Also known as “Coach K”, he has a flair for creating passionate teams! In 2000, “Coach K” founded “The Winning Dentist”, a team of consultants to help others develop passionate teams, functional work system, and provide motivation and congruent marketing. In addition to his numerous published articles, Coach K recently authored a resource manual “Creating Passionate Aesthetic Dental Teams.” This publication is designed to aid dentists, office managers and their counterparts how to create their own winning team! When not practicing dentistry, Dr. K is an avid skier, hockey player, and hockey coach. And despite playing for 35 years now, including college, he has yet to lose a tooth. He has two sons Luke and Alex and has been married to Judi for 12 years.

Our Team

Hygiene Coordinator

Our Hygiene Coordinator, is responsible for finances and scheduling your appointments. She also makes sure she takes good care of you with her strong customer service skills, and coordinates the hygienists’ schedules. Our Hygiene Coordinator has endured several hours of continuing education courses to keep on top of the latest.

Michele: Hygienist

Michele, a Registered Dental Hygieniest is also our Clinical Administrator. She received her degree from Forsyth School for Dental Hygienists and Northeastern University in Boston Massachusetts.

She has been working as a hygienist for over 20 years. She completes approximately 75 hours of continuing education a year to stay current on new technology and techniques. She has completed courses including, Local Anesthesia for Dental Hygiene in the State of Connecticut, The Complex Sedation Patient - 20 hours Live and numerous Periodontal lectures.

Michele has been working with Dr K since 1998 and currently specializes in Non surgical Periodontal Gum Therapy.

Melissa: Treatment Coordinator

Melissa, is our head Treatment Coordinator. She completes new patient interviews and reviews Dr. Kostrzewski’s findings. She is always here to answer your questions and will take any radiographs needed. She has been in the field for 7 years and continues to learn more about dentistry and helping patients achieve better oral health. Melissa has her certification in dental assisting and speaks Spanish fluently. She likes to shop and spend quality time with her two children and family.

Kristen: Treatment Coordinator

Kristen, a member of our Treatment Coordinator team, assists our hygienists Michele and Ronnie and prepares you for x-rays. She is CPR certified, and will give you a thorough analysis of your dental treatment that Dr. K recommends. She is currently attending hygiene school and has had several courses on customer service, assisting and dental assisting. She is also fluent in Spanish.
